D is for Disguise

Disguising himself behind that little rose bush, Ned was pretty sure no bird stopping in for a snack would see him, until it was too late and the bird became the snack. That kid sat there ALL DAY one day, I swear. Every time I looked out the window, there was Ned, trying to blend in to that bush. I had to go out and check on him at one point, I was afraid he was hurt and couldn’t move, but no – he was just Determined to stay there until his patience paid off. Sadly for him, but I guess happily for the bird population, he had to admit Defeat by the end of the afternoon.

But don’t Despair or feel sorry for him; he got a 1/2 scoop of breakfast crunchies to go with regular wet-food Β Dinner for being such a hard-working little fellow.

Visiting from A/Z. Patience cat πŸ™‚ We had a cat in our neighborhood, not sure, it might even be feral, that was stalking a lizard that we enjoyed watching yesterday. Enjoy the rest of the challenge!

Thanks for stopping by. When he was younger he was the scourge of the bird world, but as he’s gotten older, I don’t know… Slower, more mellow, or just lazy? Whatever it is, he tends to watch a LOT more than he catches now.

Go ahead, say it. Don't be shy...
