Born and raised in Maine, educated in Ohio, paid to sweat in Florida, paid to learn in California, paid to think in Maryland and Japan. Then I got my first real job.
With my first company, I went from having a stapler thrown at me because it was snowing out,(obviously my fault) through a stint on the phones advising and consoling weary and unwary travelers (and apologizing for anything and everything that ever happened to them), to the effete Ivory Tower world of Data Modeling (seriously? You’re going to PAY me to do this?).
Now I think I’m in my last job, still not quite sure I should be making money at what I’m doing, but willing to keep taking it.
I’ve seen a lot of foolishness out there, I’ve been responsible for some of it, and this blog is my way of sharing it with those of you who weren’t fortunate enough to be with me when it happened.
Thanks for reading, I hope I can be amusing more often than I’m alarming, and interesting more often than disgusting. If I can do that, I will consider my life a success.
